Welcome to Te Aho
Our purpose is to contribute to the wellbeing of our Māori community
Te Aho, chaired by Emeritus Professor Whatarangi Winiata is a Māori model for regional development that has been operating in the Kapiti and Horowhenua for the past 36months.
Te Aho is an example of Māori collaborating with each other, and with others to enhance the wellbeing of our Māori communities. Through iwi groups their respective hapū and other Māori organisations, such as educational providers, health and social organisations, and business operators.
The successful achievements of our goals will be through using the kaupapa framework that was developed by Te Wananga o Raukawa in 2004 and have been adopted by many in the local area. Activities have been or are currently underway that have given expression to all ten of the kaupapa tuku iho and demonstrates that Te Aho is making progress towards Māori community wellbeing.
